Ten Worst Insurance Companies
According to the American Association for Justice, a trial lawyers' group the 10 worst insurance companies are as follows:
1. All State
2. Unum
3. AIG
4, State Farm
5. Conseco
6. Wellpoint
7. Farmers
8. United Health
9. Torchmark
10. Liberty Mutual
The group said it based its rankings on what it found to be "a distinct pattern of insurance industry greed" among 10 companies that do everything possible to avoid paying claims, employ hardball tactics against policyholders, reward executives with extravagant salaries, and raise premiums to maximize profits.

Yahoo Group for Homeowners
I have a yahoo group for homeowners to share information about everything of interest to homeowners. We need more members to share stories and ideas. This group is open to everyone so join today.
This group is for homeowners and homeowners-to-be in the Lubbock Texas area. It is a place to find resources, tips, bargains, insurance, financing and everything dealing with homeowners in the area. This is a community for the people of Lubbock and surrounding areas to exchange knowledge and information about making your home a better place to live in.If you have a business that is in the Lubbock area and your primary focus is on the people in West Texas we want you as a member.
Here is a copy of the latest post:
I'd like to hear from anyone who has protested the appraisal of theirhome with the Lubbock Central Appraisal District. Has anyone had totake their case to the District Court or to binding arbitration? I wenttoday to the appraisal review board and although the rules state thatthese people are impartial, I don't think that's the case. I feel Ihave a good case and I'm wanting to take it to the District Court orbinding arbitration. The rules state that appraisals are based onmarket value but, in reality, THAT'S NOT THE CASE. Please let me hearfrom you if you have taken your case to binding arbitration or thedistrict court; I'd like to hear your outcome. Thanks
